Summer is here again!

Last week Shelby and I were totally thinking on the same wave length. She set up a mat in the hall and put all of her play food on it and made the announcement "Summer is here! come have a picnic!" I am getting the itch to go somewhere again. When I leave work I see the planes taking off and the thought always comes to me "I could be on that plane! I gotta go somewhere!" I just don't have money when to use when I get there. I hate being broke.

This might be totally weird, but I have always thought it would be fun to fly to Chicago, grab a hotdog or a giant piece of pizza, and fly back. It doesnt make any sense, I know. But it would break the monotony of the traditional Saturday...straighten the house, yard work, grocery shopping, grab some dinner, etc. Imagine the water-cooler chatter on Monday.

Co-worker: Yeah, I finished mowing the lawn early, so the kids and I ran to the grocery store while my wife finished straightening the house...it was an 'ok' weekend. What about you Anthony, did you do anything fun.

Anthony: Well, lets see...Friday night I played a heated game of 'Guitar Hero' with some friends...had a nice BBQ...we enjoyed some time with the family on Sunday....Oh, and Saturday I had the best piece of pizza in Chicago.

Ya know what, better yet. Maybe I would fly to Chicago, do my grocery shopping there, and then come home. What the hell, if I'm gonna do something stupid, I might as well not go half way with it.

It is true. I hear people at work mention doing this alot. Going somewhere to watch a football game, day trips to New York, flying to Maine to have Lobster. That is what is the most iritating... I know I can do this... but Mandy or I are always working! GRRR! We talk about it alot, but then again we talk about winning the lottery too, and I don't see either one happening too quickly here in the future. Dangit Tony! Why can't you work here? Then we could call Trevor and go to Kansas one Saturday and admire the world's largest ball of twine.

TWINE.....did somebody say TWINE. I'll be honest, I'm a sucker for twine. And if were talking about twine in mass quantities, I'm all over that. I won't be fooled with string, rope, cord, or any other sub-par substitute, but I luvs me some twine!!!!

Amen Shelby! I'm so stoked for summer! I can't wait to take Max outside and bask in the sunlight! I'm sick of being cooped in doors! AHHH it's crazy! You know what.. we're way broke and guess what..at least you COULD go anywhere you wanted whenever really..we will never have that opportunity..you should just take your sweetheart and go on an adventure! Just fly somewhere and come home if that's all you can do..it would still be a blast! DO it!! I double dog dare you!
