In Summer 2007 I volunteered to create and teach a dance for the Nibley Heratige Days Childrens Play. I taught about 23 five year olds a dance, and it went so well, that I found the confidence to try teaching dance out of my home. After struggling through a severe depression this has been a wonderful way to boost my self esteem and help me look forward to acommplishing other things. In October I registered 14 students ages 3-6 in my Dance Studio which I called FIRST STEP DANCE STUDIO. It's been a dream come true.
I decided to do a recital and planned it for December 21st at the Whittier Center in Logan. I prepared three dances for the girls, Animal Fun, Pineapple Princess, and the 12 days of x-mas. They also did a number were I had their dads come onto the stage to learn the five ballet positions. It was a success I think.
It's been rewarding to start something and see it through to the end. I will do another semester starting in about 2 weeks. I will include an adult class and also a 7and 8 year old class. Shelby will be in my three year old class. I look forward to having her in dance with me because she loves it. I love it too.

Setting up Christmas decorations
Shelby thought this song was HILARIOUS when we were setting up our Christmas decorations.
Night Things
Last night we sent Walker to bed. It had been a long day for him and we fully anticipated him falling directly to sleep. Mandy was watching TV and I was talking on the phone. After I got off of the phone, Walker was being very quiet, except for an occasional cough. I knew he was still awake because his light was still on and occasionally I would hear clinks and bumps and scoots. I didn't know what he might be up to. Usually when it is late and he is being quiet, he is usually making huge messes. I opened the door and saw him sitting on his knees on his bed hovered over something that he seemed to be piecing together on his bed. I could see that he was just finishing. He had taken toys from his bed and spelled out a word he had just learned to spell.

Oops!
We had to re-setup our blog because Mandy was the administrator of the old blog and she forgot her user name and password. Now I am the evil dictator... I mean administrator of the new and improved blog!
